Established in "Europes Food Town" in the tail end of the 80s, Chris is, well, Chris is just zis guy, you know?
Present
Having completed my final year at university I am currently seeking employment in Sheffield. I am also available for any projects you may have.
Background
Technology has always been an important interest of mine, from those computer things through music technology to F1 cars. I think the only piece of technology that doesnt interest me is the washing machine.
Sometime in the 90s (back when we used not-so-floppy floppy disks) my father sat me down and, armed only with a copy of "The Complete Idiots Guide To HTML", taught me how to write websites, in Notepad no less. I dare say everything spiralled out of control from there. I now have knowledge and experience in a wide variety of computing areas, from building and repair to video editing or sound recording.
Sometime in the 2000s, I became involved with a local rock covers band. I soon took on the role of lackie/roadie/Lighting Tech and still help out at some of bigger gigs. This gave me chance to explore my other passion; music. I was also involved in a band myself but it never amounted too much. Actually it did better without me, oh well...
I am an avid reader of books; I love to read autobiographies, the Discworld series by Terry Pratchett and the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams. My favourite author is Philip Pullman, I have yet to read one of his books I have not enjoyed.
I am not one for sport - although you may catch me watching the Superbowl - but my only true sporting love is Formula 1. Jenson Button is my favourite driver, and Williams and Team Lotus are my favourite teams.
Academically, I started at Weelsby Primary School, advancing on to Havelock School (now Havelock Academy) and then into Franklin College in Grimsby. In college, I studied Computing and Mathematics at A Level and Electronics and Music Technology at AS Level. In 2008, I was accepted into Sheffield Hallam University and began my first year studying of BSC (Hons) Multimedia Technologies.
After university - having fallen slightly in love with Sheffield and excited by the citys comment and embracement of technology - I decided to take root.
